What We Do
Bring Your Moxie to the Mic
Inspired by readings and literary events Janine and Tarja have curated through Litquake, Lit Crawl, and Listen To Your Mother, Moxie to the Mic is a reading series at Kaleidoscope Coffee. We’ve also teamed up with organizations such as ScreenSense, Hedgebrook, and Café Society.
Classes and Retreats
Moxie Road offers writing workshops such as our Regenerative Writing Wednesdays, which uses the Amherst Writers and Artists' method to tap into the creative genius within; the Finishing School workshop devised by Cary Tennis and taught by Janine and Tarja; social media consultations, our signature New Year, New Moxie writing retreat, publishing advice and more.
In ye olden days of book publishing, there was only one accepted path: to find an agent, who then sells your book to a big publisher. Today, writers are blessed with numerous paths to see their book into print.
As consultant and publisher, Janine is highly experienced in the entire process while Tarja has the marketing know-how to bring your book to life.
